| *** (3 stars) NISSIN Di622 for CANON E-TTL & E-TTL II |
| Product: SPEEDLITE FLASH for CANON Rebel XTi XT XSi XS 450D 400D |
|
by Anthony from Texas Pros: Solid, fast refresh, good price Cons: Does not work with Pocket Wizards Best Uses: On Camera works Great Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Nissin 622 is a solid unit and fast refresh. They do not work with Pocket Wizards no matter what mode the flash was set for. They do work great if you mount flash directly on camera. Seems that there needs compatibility testing. I had no problems using the Canon 580 ex IIs. Pins are a mismatch. |

by John from Canada Pros: Price and quality of the item Cons: Not as tough as Canon flashes Best Uses: All Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend A very good alternative to the higher priced Canon flashes. Very pleased with this purchase from Alzo and the quality of the flash. Not as robust as Canon equivalent but certainly does the job that is required of it. |

by Ed from Westland, MI Pros: Price & Operation Cons: No Screen Best Uses: All Photographic Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I was considering purchasing the similar Canon Flash, but wanted something a little less expensive to start. I am very happy with the ease of use and workmanship of this product. I am considering purchasing another unit for back lighting as needed, since it does work as a slave unit. Thanks for offering this product. |

| Product: Speedlite NISSIN Di622 PORTA-FLASH - CANON E-TTL & E-TTL II |

by Marcos from El Paso, Texas Pros: Great Price and simple to use Cons: Does not work well as a slave unit. Not capable of being triggered with a wireless system. Best Uses: As a single flash unit Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This is a great Flash unit for Money. Unit features a catchlight plane and a built in wide panel not usually found on lower end flashes. Nothing fancy about the unit just put your batteries in and your ready to go, no long manual to read. |

by Lee from Richmond, Vermont Pros: Easy to Use Cons: None Best Uses: Any time you want to take flash pictures Describe Yourself: Occasional Photographer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend The Speedlite NISSIN Di622 PORTA-FLASH - CANON E-TTL & E-TTL II, has really improved the quality of my pictures. It made it possible to do a fill to remove shadows and the unit has a built-in reflector and diffuser, which is really great. I would recommend this unit to anyone. The cost was very reasonable and the unit is worth what I paid for. The unit is very easy to use and the instructions that came with it are easy to read and understand. |

| Product: NISSIN Di622 PORTA-FLASH - CANON E-TTL & E-TTL II |

by Bill from Damariscotta, ME Pros: cost, performance Cons: lacks lcd display found on Canon 580 EX Best Uses: general dedicated flash Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This Nissin unit is promoted as "replaces Canon 580 EX". It communicates well with my Canon G9 camera, seems to be durable and well made, and the resulting pictures are nicely lit. It cycles quickly for the next shot, and battery life using rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries is good. The biggest differences between this Di622 and the Canon high-end flash are the cost and the lcd screen display of flash-camera settings. The Nissin lacks the fancy display, but does have lights to indicate power output when used in the manual mode. For the money and performance, the Di622 clearly is a great choice. In addition to providing a quality product, ALZO's customer service has been outstanding. |
