ALZO PORTA-FLASH SOFTBOX ASSEMBLY

 Assembling the ALZO Porta-Flash Mini Softbox is very fast and simple when you follow these instructions.

You will need a 3' x 3' clean clear table space to assemble the ALZO Porta-Flash softbox.

The softbox consists of 4 parts:

  1. Wireframe Softbox
  2. Ring
  3. Flash mount bracket
  4. Diffuser

 STEP 1: ASSEMBLE SOFTBOX
Open the softbox by inserting a hand inside the folded softbox pushing on the wire frame in the fabric until it pops open. Set it on a table facing you. Lay the diffuser in front of the softbox with the Velcro hooks side facing up, Roll the back edge of the diffuser and attach the diffuser edge to the bottom interior Velcro strip inside the softbox.

Now pull the center front edge of the diffuser up and attach it to the center upper interior Velcro strip of the softbox as shown below.alzo softbox with diffuser
   

 

 Using the following sequence attach the remaining edges of the diffuser to the interior Velcro strips in the softbox.

 STEP 2: ASSEMBLE BRACKET
Attach the ring to the bracket with the supplied wing screw (1) as shown and tighten securely. Position the "Hot Shoe" mount (3) to the rear-most position.

NOTE: The Flash shoe mount (3) can be removed providing a 1/4" x 20 screw mount.

NOTE: The Flash shoe mount (3) is insulated. The flash will require a sync cord connection to the camera.

NOTE: Thumb screw adjusters (2) and (3) allow for positioning the ring relative to your flash. Adjuster (2) sets the height of the ring, while adjuster (3) positions the front of the flash.

Attach your flash to the "shoe" mount connected to (3). Adjust (2) and (3) such that the flash face enters the opening in the ring or rests up against the ring surface. Then remove the flash and tighten the thumb screws. Hot shoe mount (3) can be rotated to allow front or rear entry of flash hot shoe mount.

 Attach the bracket to the rear of the softbox (flash removed) by slipping the ring under 3 of the wire frame protrusions and prying up the last protrusion. softbox with bracket

Loosen the thumbscrew (3), attach the flash, adjust position of flash and tighten (3). The entire assembly can now be set on top of the ALZO Digital Flip Bracket or light stand.

NOTE: The Flash shoe mount (3) can be removed providing a 1/4" x 20 screw mount.
