ALZO Studio Boom Details

Our ALZO Studio Boom Kit is an essential addition to any studio for adding versatility in top illumination. This is the best piece of equipment for 'hair" lighting in portrait studios. This stable studio boom with a 5 lb counter weight, can support all of our light heads including our ALZO 2000 with a softbox. Additional counter weight is recommended for light heads over 3 lbs.

We supply a heavy duty air cushioned light stand with a wide tripod base to provide a stable footing for supporting the ALZO Studio boom arm. The adjustable length arm uses an all-cast metal universal junction to attach the arm to the stand and allow for rotation of the arm.

The Studio Boom Arm fits light stands with 25mm or 27mm diameter upper sections. It is not advisable to use the ALZO Studio boom arm on stands without air cushioning.

The extension length of the adjustable boom arm is dependant on the weight of the light supported by the boom and the extent of counter weight added to the boom. A typical light weighing under 4 lbs can be extended about 48" from the stand upright. Adding additional counter weight will allow for up to 60" extension. Always use a sand bag counter weight on the tripod base of the light stand when using one on the boom arm.
