Flash Meter - Basic |
|
 |
For
all portrait photography a flash
meter is essential. Exposure control
settings on the camera are typically
set to "manual", the shutter speed is
fixed at 120/sec and the flash meter
determines the correct settings for
aperture. Our basic flash meter is a
cost effective solution for digital
portrait imaging. This meter is small
(fits in shirt pocket) light-weight
(4 oz with battery) and very easy to
use.
Our
flash meter comes with a padded soft
case with belt loop and an
instruction manual.

Shown
above is the exposure display panel
after taking a flash measurement. The
green light indicates the correct
exposure for all of the ISO
selections in a table format. The
orange light indicates that this
exposure is also +2/3. Therefore the
actual exposure setting of a camera,
set to ISO 100, should be f 11 +2/3.
The over/under indicators display
when the flash measurement is "out of
range" of the meter.
