The ALZO Plexiglas Riser
Platforms are used in commercial product photography to create two different
special effects. They can be used inside an imaging tent or standalone.
SHADOWLESS IMAGES: The
very popular clear riser platform is used to produce shadowless
images with only a slight reflection.
DRAMATIC IMAGES: The
black riser platform produces a dramatic blackout background with a
slight mirror reflection. This provides a dramatic presentation for some
subjects, particularly jewelry.
ALZO tents are recommended for
use with these platforms to reduce unwanted room reflections in the glossy
surfaces. Small riser platforms fit perfectly into the
ALZO 14", 28" tents and the large ones fit
28" and 48" tents. The small 11" x 11"
riser platforms raise the subject 2" and the large 24"x 24' ones raise the
subject 4".
Our riser platforms include a
curved back panel to eliminate a "horizon" line in images when shooting at a
low angle. They are constructed of heavy .25" Acrylic Plexiglas and can
support up to 30 lbs of weight.
