The ALZO 28 in light tents are ideal for product photography because they are easy to use and produce excellent results. They are essential for shooting highly reflective objects like plastic, glass, and metal, or when an ultra soft lighting effect is desirable. We used a light tent with ALZO Cool Lites to photograph all of the small products on the ALZO Digital web site. The light tents are constructed of a pure white nylon fabric supported by a sewn-in spring metal wire frame and include Velcro fasteners for attachment of cover and paper grips. The paper sweeps inside the light tent are held in place by Velcro attachments, allowing for versatility in positioning the backdrop.
Illuminated from the outside, the ALZO light tent acts as a diffusion room surrounding the subject with soft diffuse light, greatly reducing glare. Reflective objects are best imaged in a light tent because the surrounding environment inside a light tent prevents image reflections of the room and the photographer. A light tent is a perfect studio device that anyone can easily master and produce professional images.
Pros: Light weight
Cons: None as of now
Best Uses: small product photography
Describe Yourself: Professional Photographer
Having used products like this in the past, I found this product as good or better than the others I have used. Easy to use. Intended use is small product photography. I use it for small art and 1 gal. or less paint cans. As for other uses I would say it would work OK for objects that were 1/3 the size of the Cube. I have not shot anything larger than a 1 gal. paint can with it. The one reason I have returned to buy at ALZO Digital is one of the people there. I do not know if he owns the place or not, but I do not think you could find a more helpful sale person than he. All I know him by is his first name is Joseph.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Thanks again. Chuck
