The ALZO Clear 24 Inch Plexiglas Riser Platform is used in commercial product photography to create special effects. This shooting table is used to produce shadowless images with only a slight reflection. It can be used inside an imaging tent or standalone. Paper backgrounds can be easily changed as they use paper clips (user supplied) to attach them to the back of the platform and then sweep under the platform.
This large riser platform fits perfectly into the ALZO 28 inch or 48-inch tent and raises the subject 4 inches off of the background. It includes a curved back panel to eliminate a horizon line in images when shooting at a low angle. It is constructed of heavy 1/4 inch acrylic plexiglass and can support up to 20 pounds of weight. This kit includes the 24 x 24 Inch Clear Riser Platform with 2 white paper background sweeps and 2 ALZO 100 LED lights. The operating voltage is 100 - 240 volts 50-60 HZ. Simple assembly required. Power cords are 10 feet long. This kit does not include clips to hold the paper to the riser.
I purchased this item to enhance my product photography. I sell products online and many websites want either a pure white background or a refined picture of a product that will be listed. I looked at many styles of tabletop photography kits and none of them really jumped out at me. I had searched many videos online of what were some of the best photography kits that work well for product selling. In the end I chose this kit, the Alzo 100 Tabletop Photography kit. It was mostly a complete setup for product photography. It features two bright led lamps, a clear tabletop that you can add photo backgrounds to and four paper backgrounds. To complete my purchase and improve upon what was already a great setup I purchased a 28 inch Alzo tent as well. There may be times when you want to diffuse the lighting. The led lights are quite bright, but they can also cause harsh spots if not positioned correctly. The tent helped to soften the light and created a wrap around illumination that gave my products a type of 3d lighting. Do I think the Alzo 100 tabletop photography kit is worth the money? Yes, I do think it is a good investment and worth the cost. The tent is not necessary, but it does give you additional lighting options for your photography needs. I am rating this as a high quality product essential for product photography. The construction is quite high and you feel it when you lift the clear table for the first time.
