There is a serious video production issue with the Panasonic FZ-1000, FZ-1000 II, FZ-200, FZ-300, FZ-330, FZ-80 FZ-82 and other mirrorless cameras, such as Fujifilm X-T1: With these cameras and others the tripod mount 1/4 inch x 20 screw thread on the base of the camera is too close to the battery access door. The problem is obvious when you attach a tripod quick release plate to the camera base: you can no longer open the battery access door, which houses the memory card slot as well. Therefore, memory card and battery changes require full disassembly of any camera rig gear.
This problem makes using the Panasonic FZ-1000, FZ-1000 II, FZ-200, FZ-300, FZ-330, LX100,FZ-80, FZ 82, G100-110 & Fujifilm X-T1, X100 series, undesirable for video production where accessories are typically added to the camera. For professional results you may need to add a microphone mixer, wireless and wired microphones, audio recorders, cage brackets and other stuff. You will not have a functional tricked out video rig when you can't get fast access to the memory card or battery. Still photography with a tripod is a serious problem with these style cameras as well. When we designed our DSLR Transformer Rig, the battery access had to be unobstructed when the camera was mounted and bling added.
The solution is the ALZO Liberator Battery Door Clearance Plate shown here. This simple device attaches to the bottom of the camera with a 1/4 inch x 20 Cap Screw and then includes 2 tripod mount thread holes. One of the holes is positioned at the lens focal point and the other is farther from the battery access door to allow for use with very large camera quick releases, like those on PRO video tripods.
The special 3M adhesive pad on the bottom of the plate provides a strong bond, but it is not permanent. This adhesive pad prevents rotation of the plate on the camera. The ALZO Liberator Battery Door Clearance Plate can be removed at any time without leaving any residue on the camera. The remarkable 3M adhesive pad can be cleaned with soap and water to restore adhesion properties.

Works great on my fz1000 and is made to a high standard. Post to the UK was reasonably quick. Fully recommend!
Works as advertizef. Well made easy to install.
I've got your tripod liberator on an FZ80 and on an FZ300. Exactly what I was looking for. They are well made and it is so nice to be able to change the battery or SD card without having to take off the tripod mounting plate.
This is a neat solution to an irritating design flaw affecting a range of Panasonic FZ- bridge cameras (models FZ-1000 II, FZ-1000, FZ-300, FZ-200, FZ-80, FZ-82). If you mount the camera onto a tripod etc. the battery and SD Card are inaccessible. Previous models had the bay door set at a different angle. The ALZO Digital plate allows you to mount the plate in such a way that the battery and SD Card can be changed without disturbing the mount. The only minor complaint is the user instructions shows the plate the wrong way round and a bit of head-scratching until you realise that the screw heads are inserted the wrong way.
Works exactly as advertised and makes it easy to access battery and card slot
