This adapter kit is an essential video recording accessory for iPhones and iPads.  This kit allows for adding a quality microphone and audio monitor headset to transform an iPhone (iPad) into a pro video camera. This splitter kit allows for 3.5mm microphone and headphone audio connections and simultaneous phone charging. The ability to charge a phone while connecting quality audio devices, including a quality microphone and audio monitor headphone, greatly improves video recording duration and audio quality.

If you have ever attempted to record video with a smart phone you would have noticed that video recording rapidly consumes the battery charge.  Therefore it is essential to be able to connect a power bank or an AC adapter while video recording or streaming.  This ALZO splitter kit allows for smartphone lightning port charging while recording or streaming video.

This device provides a male lightning port connector for connecting to the iPhone (iPad) and a female lightning port for connecting your charger or a power bank. It includes an ALZO 2013 splitter cord that provides a separate 3.5mm audio stereo headphone and mono microphone port for connecting your wired headset and a 3.5mm mono microphone input.

The Headphone connector is TRS and does not work with TRRS smartphone head sets. It is intended to be used with quality monitor headphones. To monitor audio when recording video you will need to use a pro video recording app like FILMIC PRO, CINEMA FV-5 or OPEN CAMERA.

You can not monitor audio recording quality with your smartphone speaker.  You need to use a quality headphone set. This cord provides for this headphone connection with a simultaneous microphone input connection as well.
