The E27 socket extender will allow ALZO photo CFL bulbs to fit in light fixtures with deep sockets like Smith Victor Thrifty lights. Fits all E27 medium base bulbs and sockets. Extends bulb base by 1 inch.

Does what it is supposed to do. I was on a tight budget so I planned to use an adjustable lamp with a 45W CLF and read that the oversized CFL's probably would not fit a regular fitting. They were right! Of course the other issue is the weight of the CFL is a little too much for reliable aiming of the lamp. Seems to be well made.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
